Hi Julie, this so resonates with my experiences and practices. βThe body often whispers long before the mind forms a sentence.β Sacred and ancient landscapes. Thank you ππ
Yes the sacred landscapes of life. The internal ones, the past life ones, the physical ones, and the ethereal ones. So many ways to know ourselves and life. And life is speaking through it, as it, all the time! Thanks Simone. π
Yes, it is a wow. What l have found most freeing is that l donβt have an attachment to any particular outcome, l have an open curiosity and have reclaimed the imagination-essence of my child self. And l have remembered how children are so aware of their bodies, gateways into worlds we know are beyond β¦ itβs pretty exciting really, infinite landscapes of being. Thank you πππ
As I get older, I've been finding myself returning to that innocent wonder I used to feel. It's always been there, glad to feel it resurfacing again. π
The body knows. Thank you for such an in-depth piece, Julie. The body is how we first sense ourselves and the world around us. Wise beyond our intellect a good deal of the time. Sending you big hugs.
Thanks Clara. And what I love is that these sacred micro-signals are still with usβ¦ we just need to listen and pay attention. There is incredible wisdom in our bones. π
This is a beautiful essay that reminds me of so many things that I used to lead or still do in a very habitual way now as the whisper becomes a roar. And the body is always right.
Ah, to be quiet & LISTEN! How much time, in a busy "life" do we allow this? Our bodies are forced through the rigors of the day while the mind chatters & "stuff" must get "done."
We really must change our mode of living. Put the phone down, stop "running" to the next "thing."
That's really what you are pointing to IMHO. Our "culture" must completely transform. We've been trained to "run the race." Now we best allow a slow down. Maybe that's what the "world economic slump" is bringing us. Nothing around us is isolated. We live in "personal space" as well as in the "collective space." Both "inform" us. Be calm, go within, listen to the body, let it feel what "it" feels, take it in, hear your heart & intuitive knowing. We are OK, come what may. A new day is, indeed, arriving.β€οΈ
I feel what you are speaking to here Berta! There is a simplicity present if we can just turn towards it, to take the time to pause. Pausing is like a reset button, reminding us of who and what we truly are. That is if we take the time to pay attention. It's like we need to relearn how to be with and do nothing. To sit still, to drop into the quiet, to look around and see, hear, and feel into what we haven't been noticing. The nuances of life, the deeper threads of our relationality, our bodies... etc. Yes "a new day is, indeed, arriving."
I had you in my thoughts yesterday, as I did my full moon reading. Inside the box of an older oracle deck I pulled out to use says,β You are the Oracleβ and I smiled. I found that symbolicβ¨
This is such a profound post, my friend. It speaks to a deeper part of me and at the same time it settled me. I have at times refused to listen to my body and oh, the mess I got myself into. And when I listen, I am "free."
How wonderful it would be if this were a "subject" in school...to listen to your body. I am imagining a different generation coming through that can deeply communicate - with themselves, those around them and the earth.
WOW what a great concept, having this taught in school during those informative years. Our culture teaches us not to be in our body, to actually see it as inferior and unreliable. Something we have in order to exist. What an absolute disservice that is. Our bodies are these sensing systems, internal and external that connect us to each other, to nature, to the past, present and future. Yes a course is definitely needed! I love it!
And what would also be great is a course in how to navigate the logistics of a checking account, how to not to max out your credit card, the ins and out of navigating this obstacle course "they" gave us.
These seem like opposing courses, one brings us home to ourselves and each other and the other course gives us a manual on how to live in this culture. Yet they both are needed.
As always dear friend thanks for your comment! π
It's so interesting that you wrote about how the body speaks and its language too Julie. Part of a deeper understanding that we are called to, I believe. I do feel as though that connection is becoming more ancient, more accessible, more necessary to give us the discernment that we will need to carry us onward. I think when you have been disconnected for so long, like many of us have, it's a homecoming, which takes time to experience. Your words are encouraging and guiding and helpful to embody these practices and to remember that this has always been the way and will be again. Blessings to you xx
I love that Louise, "this has always been the way and will be again." I feel that deeply. Harder when I see, hear and feel the opposite. And then I remind myself of my somatic, physical, and energetic connection to everything. And it is very ancient, and its also fresh and new. It's primal, always with us. Asking us to gently turn towards it. Speaking through our bodies... Yes I saw the the synchronicity too between our posts. I love that when that happens. See it speaks in that way too! π
I felt that! As though it was part of the language speaking to us, how wonderful. I agree, its a new way for us, but ancient as well. I feel as though I am constantly developing the skill and the more I do, the easier it feels to access the information. It opens so many doorways that we have yet to explore, how exciting!
Thank you for this, Julie. I have spent way too many years ignoring/suppressing my body. I am in the beginning stages of attempting to listen. Thank you for sharing your process.
Your welcome Marni, and I'm so excited to hear that you are attempting to listen. That is huge! We all have to start somewhere and sometime. Why not right now and here! Thanks for sharing. Please keep me informed on how this goes for you. π
Oh. This is the journey I have been on for the last four+ years. I am a trauma-survivor, and deeply appreciate the care and attention you provide around this. Cards and other external divinatory methods helped me connect to my inner knowing until I could hear my body more clearly. Now, I find the body is the clearest source of truth β it does not lie to me like my mind can. Thank you for giving what Iβve been moving through language. What a beautifully articulated piece. πππβ¨
Thanks so much Dani. And I am deeply taken with what you shared here, especially this, "I find the body is the clearest source of truth β it does not lie to me like my mind can."That is solid piece of wisdom there! And yes the cards are a wonderful entry point. I still love doing tarot readings, but I do less of them because the info is there before I even pull and draw cards. Love to you... π
You're quite welcome. I'm so happy to have found your writing. I write as well, but lately I can't seem to find the right words to put with how I'm feeling. It's always a joy to discover language that feels like a yes in your body. What a gift! It's interesting, but where I once worked with cards frequently, they have become more of an occasional tool. Not that I don't find them to be resonant. I do. I don't feel like I need them as often... which is an even bigger gift. I have everything I need... right here. π₯Ή I receive the love you sent with gratitude, and send love back for you. ππβ¨

Love that Simone. The curiosity of a child.

Thanks Stephanie. Yes there is so much the body knows. Important to give it time to speak. Big hug back to you! π
I really enjoyed this! Loved the micro-signals as sacred language piece in particular, really a gem!
Thanks Clara. And what I love is that these sacred micro-signals are still with usβ¦ we just need to listen and pay attention. There is incredible wisdom in our bones. π

Nice to catch up a little bit
Sending big love
Yum, big love right back to you too! π
Lovely & true! Thank you. A nice practice, too!

Iβll be sharing it with my Zoom SΓ©ance group!
Thank you Eva, I'm truly touched. π
I will be back to read, canβt wait.
Thanks Prajna - and take your time, there is no rush. π
Just beginning this walk with you. I appreciate how simply, clearly and beautifully you lay out the path. Thank you.
Welcome Gay, I'm so glad you are here! And thank your words, they touch my heart! π
