Thank you so much for sharing this amazing journey with us, Julie! All these incredible breadcrumbs coming together at the perfect time. Really magical! Your journey with Serpent makes me wonder about mine with spiders, or black widows in particular, as I keep dreaming about them. I'm going to go back through my dreams holding the question "Am I the spider" and see what wisdom comes. Thanks again for this brilliant insight!

Thanks Jenna! Yes the crumbs coming together, the dots connecting, these moments are such a gift. I am so grateful! The snake teaches me so much and on so many levels.

And Oooooo spider wisdom, spider alchemy and magic! I keep being blown away by how powerful our dreams are, and the messages they give us. Blessed dreams Jenna!

As an agnostic/pantheist I suspect the Divinity is everyone of us. To be more precise, we are not "part of" this living universal entity. We are, in fact, "it". Anyway, just a suspicion... But a visceral one, and very strong. 😉

Agree! Being "part of" has a degree of removal to it. Like being outside as an observer looking in. Being "it", takes away the "part of" and sees the interrelatedness, connectedness and wholeness that we all are together. We are "it".

Mmm… this was such a juicy read. I’ve done a lot of work with Western goddesses of the Celtic, Roman/Greek traditions, but there’s something so dark and delicious about Innana. Something earthy and palpable.

Thank you for bringing these energies to the surface as an invitation to dive deep. I love that dark place where you cannot breathe… and it has been a long time since the door has been opened and I have felt it beckoning.

Yes there is something "dark and delicious" about Innana. She took me by surprise, so unexpected. I too have worked with other deities and goddesses, but Innana, she brought me deep like nothing else has...

And I am curious what you will discover behind that door...

Beautiful Julie! Thank you so much for sharing your deep, sacred experience. It is always an honor to be invited into another’s sharing. I love what you said near the end about us as human being animals. My dear friend calls us the “human spirit animal” - to think about ourselves that way is soooo expansive! My journey has been one of coming home to my natural feminine wisdom body, after chasing the more yang ideals of effortful spirituality 🌸

Thank you so much Emma. YES to "coming home to my natural feminine wisdom body" I deeply feel this as my experience too! Glad to meet another sister on this journey! This has been an incredible discovery for me the past few years. Diving deep into HER. Moving through the layers of the dysfunctional "yang" ways of living. Coming home to the womb of life. I see existence in a new way now. Not with a conquering mind set, but by living with, side by side, as nature. Nature is life, my animal family.

Yes Julie! I love this. When you can put all the pieces together, so you know why they were received in the order that they were. A powerful picture of goddess energy and feminine rising. It feels like the ending of a huge rite of passage for you and something to celebrate.

Thanks Louise! Yes, a "huge rite of passage!" Was wonderful to take a break from writing and just sit with this, contemplate it. Let the energy move around, let the insights land and integrate. Then I was ready to write about it, making it more concrete. Yes, goddess energy, cycles, non-linear, grounded, death and rebirth. I feel her very strongly right now. Blessings to you Louise, thanks for being part of the journey. ❤

Loved this, thank you for sharing your powerful experience with Her. It’s always beautiful to read about another’s journey with the Divine Mother. I also resonate with releasing old Christian paradigms from childhood. In my journey I was called to Ishtar (a different face of Inanna, I’m sure you know) two years before I actively started working with Her. Ishtar led me to studying many other goddesses and archetypes and eventually to foraging a deeper relationship with my womb / body / earth and Great Mother in general. From less painful cramps during my menstrual to increased intuition and creativity, developing right relationship with Her has been the biggest blessing of my life.
