This is the best exploration of the Tower I think I've ever read. I love the idea of the Tower being the labor pains. And then this: "These tower times may expose my wounds, traumas and fears, but this is not about burying them again, or regarding them as something to fix. For healing to ensue, accepting and having compassion for myself is the elixir needed. Alchemizing the ache into medicine." This really is the deep, deep wisdom of the Tower. Thank you so much for this clarity! I always feel a little tug of dread when I draw the Tower, but seeing it through this lens has changed that. And THANK YOU for including my post here! I am truly honored. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Jenna, I agree. The Tower card is not a fun or welcomed card. Yet it does have a way of uncovering our hidden Gems. When working on this post and finding the Rumi quote, it felt so right! Rumi has an amazing way of speaking truth that digs into my soul. Then the explanation point came when I read your post on the Gem. Really bringing this together. Again, the crumbs showing up again and again.
You know, you talk about inner treasures and its weird, I've had several unceasing tumultuous years and I keep waiting for my gifts to emerge. I keep thinking of gifts as something inherent and unique to me but what has been revealed over and over again, is the kindness of the world. And I feel that's the gift I got.
Thanks Shobaa for commenting. Yes, tumultuous years, I can relate! "Inner treasures" and "gifts" can have preconceived connotations. Believing these are things that make us unique and special. But what if these treasures were not about that, but more about our true self! What I hear in your share is an opening to the kindness in the world. As you said, that is the gift you got, and what an amazing beautiful gift! To see our inherent connection as goodness and caring. You have uncovered something very precious.
I love this, Shobaa. ❤️ I also think your ability to see and know the kindness of the world is a true gift, a treasure. That sort of perception is amazing!
This is a wonderful showing of truth Julie, I feel like what is being asked of us is to finally face all our deepest fears, but then not to run away and hide again as we once might have done. This time we KNOW we have the inner strength to get through them, because we can call on so much assistance. We understand that it will not be easy, but what is about true transformation? I see this as a global instruction too, time to stop turning away from the destruction and contribute to the rebuilding. We will rise again.
Thanks Louise. Yes, facing ourselves is key. I sense the main dysfunction in our current times is the inability for so many to truly meet themselves. Abandoning oneself by this constant turning away. This results in projection on others, lack of confidence, overcompensation, blame, control and need for power. Oh my, all because of the fear of meeting what is inside us. Yes, hard stuff to see, but that is just the layer on top of these amazing gems, gifts and wonders of what we really are. Actually it is so amazingly beautiful!

I like that - our inherent connection and might I also say condition is goodness and caring.

It so is Julie, thank you for bringing that positive perspective to it. It's so important to celebrate the wonder as well.
