Yay! I love the Hermit! Reading this post made me think about our recent wonderful conversation...so many things I want to say! (Firstly, and as an aside, my publishing company is named Hermit's Light Publishing. 😁) And then, I feel really drawn to that Asherah tarot card. Do you like/recommend the deck?
A few years ago I had a somewhat disturbing dream about Baba Yaga and I had never thought to associate her with the Hermit. But this definitely sheds some light (ha!) on my dream. Thank you so much for these insights!
I love the Asherah Tarot! It's my favorite Thoth deck, it brings in more of the Divine Feminine than other Thoth decks. And yes, I have noticed the name of "Hermit's Light Publishing" on your monthly packs, would love to learn more about that sometime and about your Baba Yaga Dream. I had a recent disturbing dream about Selkies. I was one, that part what amazingly beautiful. But me and my sisters where being hunted, and there is the disturbing part. There is more, I have been working a lot with this dream since then. I say this because I would love to hear about your dream! Maybe next time we talk. And I am glad this post with Baba Yaga "shed some light."
March is my birthday month. This card seems very appropriate for me. To be grounded by the 6 pointed star - above and below; to be reflective; to find and seek the answers; TO KNOW THE QUESTION FIRST. I feel that my year begins in March...and the days before my birthday I seek out my deepest inner questions, my raw inner needs, what do I want to deeply heal this year, what are my wants, what do I need to do to self care this year...those kind of questions...
I loved the quote “Within nature, within your mind, seek out the still and sacred places where magic is heard, felt and seen. Spend enough time to feel this as an integral part of who you are.”
Such a lovely reminder...to seek the still within...for this is where the answers are.
And Julie, I love what you wrote about the shamanic way of life. As you know this is very strong for me. I resonated with your words here so much. Thank you so much for such a wonderful post... xxx
Thanks Sam, I am very happy this resonated with you. And may you have a joyous returning of the wheel this month. Birthdays are very initiatory. I see why the Hermit would be appropriate. May this time be deep, nourishing, connecting, inspirational and healing.

Wow, your selkie dream sounds amazing...both wondrous and intense. Looking forward to hearing much more about that!

Bless you Julie. Thank you. I feel the power of birthdays so much more now than when I was younger...Thank you for this post and for your blessings. x
I have a unfinished post in my drafts on here about the Hermit card, so I loved this!
Thanks Susan. Look forward to what you have to say about the Hermit! I love hearing what stands out for others about these archetypes.
I'm a multiple virgo and I do relate to that card a lot.
Thank you Julie. Chanting is also my favorite meditation practice. 💗
I know! So soothing, grounding and heart opening. ❤
