Julie, my sister, this is such a potent reading—wow. I love how you’ve brought the sacred marriage theme to life through the cards, especially the invitation to weave together patience and trust with the necessary fire of dismantling. The way you framed the reversed Magician and Six of Pentacles hit home for me in particular...this sense of emerging subtle magic and the deep recalibration of reciprocity feels so alive right now, both personally and collectively. Thank you, as always, for holding these thresholds with so much care and insight. I'm feeling inspired to sit with these reflective questions and let the Beltaine fires work their alchemy. 💖
Ahhh, thank you dear sister. I haven't done a sabbat tarot reading before for a stand alone post, but I was moved to do a Beltaine reading. I too was moved by what cards came forward, and the relationships that showed up between all the cards. Really powerful and fascinating. I ended up really enjoying writing this post... I probably will end up doing more readings in the future. I'm glad this resonated with you. 💜
I read your blessing a couple of times, Julie. It was a balm. Burning away the false and planting the seeds of veracity. It all reminds me of the way in which fields must sometimes be "slashed and burned" in order to allow the fertility to return. The journaling prompts were so helpful to sit with, too. I tried looking at them through the lens of the personal and the collective. Balancing rest and action really stood out. I'm struggling with that right now. Thank you so much for all of this goodness! 🔥🌱❤️🔥
Thanks Keith! I appreciate your focus on the burning away. I think of sequoias, their seeds released from their hard cones by fire. In other words they need fire to fully reproduce! But first these hard shells must be made soft. Sounds like us at times. These walls, rules, dogmas, etc. that hold our precious seed so tightly. The seed of truth, connection, insight, love! Seems we are being called to let this burn away. Maybe this crazy in the world is one huge fire, waking us up, burning away the illusions that kept our seeds hidden. Just wondering and wandering here... even rambling. And I hear you Kieth, around the struggling, you are not alone. Love to you, Keith! 💜 🔥
I love the idea that the painful chaos of the world is a fire helping the sequoia of self release its seeds. I'm taking that with me! Thank you, Julie. ❤️🔥
Thank you dear one for this post. It was Samhain here and oh the energy was strong. I felt it is the BEGINNING of something new. It is the beginning of a new year, a new way of being in myself and my work, and all because it is about honouring my ancestors and honouring was was dying in me. There is something rising here...and we are both here at this threshold welcoming it in...one of us with the Maiden the other with the Crone...Thank you dear one for sharing this journey with me.
Thanks Sam. Yes in my other post on Beltaine - I mentioned Samhain. I always think of you when I write about the southern hemisphere and where all of you are in the wheel of life. Samhain is an incredibly powerful sabbat! Blessing to you and your ancestors. And to what is dying and leaving... Then to what is rising - as you said. I too am glad to be on this journey with you - my heart becomes light with I think of you. Love to you dear sister! 💜
Loved this reading, Julie! Especially this part: "We no longer need to be burdened by the weight of division between parts of ourselves, or the world. This fire becomes a forge, melting what was once rigid into something fluid and new." Resonates so strongly for me right now! I also learned about Beltaine, which I'd never heard of before. Thank you!
Thanks for reading Ramya! And I'm glad it resonated with you. I find the tarot a powerful tool for story and for diving deeper into ourselves and life. Yes Beltaine! This is one of the eight sabbats that happen every solstice and equinox and the cross times between them. I find them very rich, full of myth and prose.
